A simple ritual by the sea became a purpose.
The beginning
Caribbean Dried Co. began long before it had a name, a logo, or a package.
It began in Humacao, Puerto Rico, during the simple moments Alex sought to disconnect from the routine. After years working in manufacturing and real estate, the beach became his place to breathe, slow down, and reconnect with what mattered.
His favorite moment was simple: sitting by the sea, preparing a cold drink, and enjoying it without rushing. He would always finish the glass with a lemon or orange wheel. That small detail changed the presentation, aroma, and entire experience.

How the idea grew
A story of friendship, experimentation, quality, and the decision to turn an everyday detail into something people could share.

A detail people remembered
Friends began joining those afternoons by the water. At gatherings, outings, and days spent chinchorreando, they already knew Alex would arrive with citrus wheels to complete the drinks.
What started as a personal habit became an expected part of every get-together: a small gesture that made the glass feel considered and the moment more special.

The question that started it
Fresh fruit was not always available. It had to be washed and sliced in the moment, and much of it ended up going to waste.
Alex began experimenting at home with different fruits, slice thicknesses, temperatures, and drying times. At first, he was simply looking for a practical way to preserve that ritual by the sea.

From hobby to opportunity
Friends asked for bags of their own. Soon came the questions: “How much for one?” “Can you make more?” “Where can I buy this?”
That was the moment Alex understood he had created more than a garnish. He had found an opportunity to turn an everyday Caribbean detail into a product with purpose.

Years of manufacturing experience shaped the way the idea grew. Process, quality, planning, and continuous improvement became part of every batch.
Fruit selection, consistent slicing, controlled dehydration, visual inspection, and careful packaging brought Caribbean creativity and manufacturing discipline together.
